In this role you have the opportunity to
Perform the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) as defined in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You facilitate the execution of Agile Release Train (ART, consisting of multiple Agile teams), organize, facilitate and lead the ART events and processes, assist the Agile teams to delivering value, escalate impediments, manage risks and drive level continuous improvements.
In the role of Release Manager, you plan, manage, and govern releases of the Software products that are being developed in an incremental way by one or more Agile teams.
You will coordinate and facilitate the activities necessary to help internal and external stakeholders receive and deploy the new releases and ensure that the most critical governance elements of quality — particularly internal and external security, regulatory, and other compliance-related aspects of the released products — have been appropriately addressed prior to deployment.

In the RTE part of the role, you establish the annual calendars for sprints and program increments and facilitate release planning readiness, vision, backlog and facilities. You plan, drive and facilitate Release Planning Events (including PI planning) and aggregate team objectives into Program Increment (PI) objectives.
Other activities in this part of the role consist of facilitation of Scrums of scrums and PO sync, assistance in economic decision making (budgeting etc.) by facilitating EPIC estimation by teams and rollup to program level visibility, resolve train level impediments and escalate to Program Portfolio Management, provide inputs on Resourcing at train level.
You drive continuous improvements on ART/Program level, synchronize within Release Trains and facilitate DevOps.
In the Release Manager part of the role, you will plan new releases and manage interdependencies between products, prior to release and deployment. You are facilitating communication and clarification of inputs, needs from customer to the ART without making commitments to the customer, and check the completeness of the DHF (Design History File) prior to gates.
You ensure that the organization’s release governance is understood and that release status is communicated to external stakeholders. Next to this: ensure that an appropriate deployment/distribution plan is in place, coordinate with Marketing and with Product Management on internal and external communications, validate that the released solution meets relevant quality and governance criteria.
You provide final authorization for the release and act as a liaison with Program Portfolio Management and Product Management.

an enthusiastic team of professional developers in mainly in Ede and partly in Eindhoven, within which a lot of knowledge is shared. In this role, you work together with all different disciplines in the organization: For example Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Q&A etcetera.
